Hi...my friend has a '02 V-Star 650 Custom that all of a sudden won't start.
It had been fine then one day he washed the bike. After it had sat for
about 6 hrs. , he went to start it and it initially started but only ran for
a few seconds. Then it wouldn't start again. It cranks but won't even try
to fire....he says he can't hear the fuel pump run and that there is no
spark. He has checked all fuses and they are fine. The spark plugs look
normal...not wet or abnormal color. Can anyone give us an idea of what the
problem might be? Thanks
